Accelerating the rollout of recharging infrastructure for zero-emission trucks is a key priority driving the electrification of transport. The European Commission has recently initiated work on Clean Transport Corridors, aiming to identify policy measures and investment needs for the deployment of recharging pools for trucks along key logistics corridors in the TEN-T. The session will present the Clean Transport Corridor Initiative, provide a state of play for the availability of data on the heavy-duty recharging infrastructure, and discuss opportunities for fast-tracking of planning and permitting processes, particularly in view of grid access.
